The Claro published Aspire video CD uses IT-based active learning study skills strategies to assist students with every aspect of their academic work.  It focuses on five pillars of education: Research, Composition, Note-taking, Proofreading and Time Management.

Using over 70 screen-capture videos (over an hour of viewing time), a range of strategies are explained in a concise and clear manner underpinned by an active learning theme. The strategies use real examples of coursework from a variety of disciplines.

There are two different levels to the CD-ROM with a number of strategies focusing on everyday software such as Microsoft Windows Vista and Office 2007. The advanced sections combine this with enabling software such as ClaroRead, Inspiration, MindManager, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Read & Write as well as showing how to research on-line and using a recording device. The strategies e.g. using spider notes, the Cornell method of note-taking etc. are invaluable for all students.
