Claro Interfaces have returned from the USA da Vinci Awards 2011. The awards ceremony, now in its 10th year, is a celebration of innovative assistive technology.

Claro representatives attended the event at the prestigious Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, with live demonstrations of Claro FaceMouse taking place at the event.

Before the start of the awards show a letter was received from President Barack Obama congratulating all the finalists on their work in the field of Assistive Technology.

Big winners on the night were Sarah Doherty and Kerith Perreur-Lloyd, the invertors of the SideStix. The entrepreneurs took first place in the transportation and mobility category and also won the people’s choice award.

Whilst Claro FaceMouse did not win the ‘Environmental Adaptation/Daily Living/Work Aids’ category Award the positive reaction and glowing reviews from the judges and finalists made the trip worthwhile.
