Claro Software represenatives are back from ATIA Chicago 2011. The conference, took place on the 3rd – 5th November, showcasing the latest products and services in the field of Assistive Technology.

Demonstrated at the show were the latest innovations to the ClaroRead for PC and ClaroRead for Mac ranges.

go to the ClaroRead Pro Web Page, the latest edition to the ClaroRead for PC range, includes powerful new technology that will scan and convert any publication into an editable PDF. The produced document can be read out loud with colour highlighting. When converting a file, the Word Proofing feature will flag any word that the scanning software is unsure about for verification, improving the accuracy of the outputted document.

Also demonstrated at the show was our Claro Interfaces range. Visitors to the event were invited to test our alternative PC control solutions including Claro FaceMouse, Tactix Touchpad and One SwitchMouse.

Claro FaceMouse is a software solution designed to assist people who have difficulty using traditional computer input methods. Claro FaceMouse will smoothly control the mouse pointer by following head movements and facial gestures and actions (such as mouth opening and closing, or eyebrow movement).

Tactix Touchpad turns an Engonomic external USB computer touchpad into a powerful solution for controling the PC.

One SwitchMouse enables a user to control the mouse pointer using a single switch. This technique is particularly suited to users who have good fine motor control and cognitive ability.
