It has been a month since we introduced the newest version of ClaroRead Mac. This latest version of the text to speech software includes a dictation option and updated homophone data.

The Claro Software team would like to present the first update to ClaroRead Mac 7.

Text to speech software toolbar

ClaroRead Mac supports reading and writing. Designed to be simple, easy-to-use and flexible, ClaroRead aids concentration and increases confidence. You can read any on-screen text out loud and improve your writing in Microsoft Word. Furthermore, the software lets you scan and convert paper books and documents so you can read them aloud too.

What’s new?

The ClaroRead Mac 7.1 update includes a phonetic character echo option. The text to speech software can now phonetically echo characters as you type them. For example, “c”, “ah”, “t” instead of “see”, “ay”, “tee”.

To use this super option:

  1. Open ClaroRead Mac and go to Settings;
  2. In the Echo section, check Characters;
  3. Click the Edit button to select the echo character options.

There is also an update to ScreenRuler Mac. From now on, ScreenRuler’s screen overlay will appear on top of the ClaroRead toolbar and system popup menus. Everything on the screen is now tinted.
