Claro PhonemeReader – How to Install (offline)

The program has been designed so that it can be used offline, recognising that the Internet connection is not 100% reliable in many schools.

To enable use of PhonemeReader offline, the program has to be installed on your device.  Follow these instructions for the device you are using:

Windows devices

Open Phoneme Reader at clarospeakweb.com/phoneme using your browser.  Keep the program open until you see the install button in the top right hand corner, this means it is ready to install offline.  You may need to get authority for this from the manager of your network.

iPads and iPhones

Open PhonemeReader at clarospeakweb.com/phoneme using safari web browser.

Once the program is open, tap on the Share icon.  [Picture of rectangle with arrow pointing upwards through the top line of the rectangle.]

The tap Add to Home Screen. (If you cannot find the “Add to Home Screen” button, search for it in the “More” button.  It will appear in a drop down list.)

A PhonemeReader icon [Picture] will now appear onscreen on the desktop.

Android devices

Open PhonemeReader at clarospeakweb.com/phoneme using chrome web browser.

Once the program is open, a pop up will display at the bottom of the screen

The tap add

A PhonemeReader icon [Picture] will now appear onscreen on the desktop.
